We use domestically grown USDA Certified Organic Spanish / Runner varieties of peanuts, which are high in oleic acids / monounsaturated fats. 

High oleic peanuts are good because they support heart health, improve endurance, have a better fat profile, may help regulate blood sugar, and offer additional health and shelf-life benefits compared to regular peanuts. 

The peanuts we use have been lab tested and are both mold and aflatoxin free.

Additionally, another one of the miraculous benefits of the fermentation process used in making our Gut Nuts is the natural elimination of molds and aflatoxin.

According to Science Direct:

Studies demonstrate 100% aflatoxin reduction in peanut meal using anaerobic solid fermentation with lactic acid bacteria (LAB)13. Heat pretreatment combined with LAB fermentation shows particularly high efficiency in biotransforming aflatoxins B1 and G13.
